Grant Mollring was hired to take over the BVU football program in December of 2016.

Mollring arrived in Storm Lake after having served as the offensive coordinator at Hastings College in Hastings, Neb., for three seasons, and before that was the offensive coordinator for four years at Doane College in Crete, Neb.  He served as both a recruiting coordinator and quarterback's coach at both institutions.

During his seven seasons as an offensive coordinator, Mollring's offenses consistently averaged over 400 yards of total offense and 30 points per game.  In 2011, he coached the Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) Player of the Year at quarterback and has coached multiple all-conference and all-American student-athletes throughout his career.

Mollring began his collegiate coaching career as a graduate assistant at the University of Nebraska-Kearney (UNK) from 2007-08.  He then became the team's wide receiver coach and coached four all-conference selections in just two years.

Mollring earned his bachelor's degree in world civilizations and middle school education in 2003 from UNK and went on to serve three years as a teacher and coach at Eustis-Farnam High School, in Eustis, Neb., before moving onto the college ranks.  He later received his master's degree in physical education pedagogy from UNK in 2010.

Mollring and his wife, Mandi, have one son, Turner, and a daughter, Marin.
